Diamondbacks Catcher Stephen Vogt Had a Rough Day After Taking a Pitch to the Junk

Arizona Diamondbacks catcher Stephen Vogt had a rough day on Wednesday. During the 13-7 win over the Colorado Rookies he took a pitch square in the junk.

The only positive about the shot to the boys was that it was deflected prior to the cup check. I doubt that fact will be of any comfort to Vogt, he immediately went to the ground in pain.

Vogt was able to stay in the game and probably really enjoyed the ice bath after the game. Even with a cup on you don't want take too many shots to the coin purse. On the flip side, it's a really good way to know you're alive.
