Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is coming off of an injury filled season that required off-season surgery.  It wasn't his first season battling injuries and it almost didn't happen because he thought about retiring.

In a roundtable interview with Todd Gurley, Cam Newton, and Victor Cruz, OBJ revealed that he thought about retiring following a broken ankle in 2017 with the Giants.  He said the game

"I said this in college, I said, 'I fear the day that they make this game a business and not what I love.'  And when I seen that for the first time, after breaking my ankle, like, I thought about not playing no more.  They’ve ruined the game of football for me a little bit."

OBJ says the fans kept him going.

OBJ might be back on that retirement talk if the Browns underachieve again this season, especially if he gets hurt again.  Losing takes the fun out of most things.
