No One Cares About the XFL!

As you know, the XFL had their opening weekend, which has been marketed pretty aggressively thanks to the league's owner being The Rock, who is essentially the biggest celebrity in the world and almost the biggest instagram account in the world, something that some insiders have told me he works aggressively at becoming the number 1 followed person in the world, because clearly he's addicted to success and winning.

Well, according the Sports Media Watch, his XFL league that he has been promoting every step of the way since he bought it, had a VERY slow start.

According to the experts, all 4 games were down more than 50% than when the league was active and Vince McMahon owned in 2020.

The Rock was quoted saying this about the league on Opening Day:

“By the grace of blessings, life has come full circle. An incredible weekend for our XFL opening!! Atmosphere was electric at every stadium. Humbling experience all weekend, that I will never forget.”

The reality is, the ratings thing isn't all that big of a deal. It's a new league, not a new sport, but they probably should have made it a new sport, but it's all so fresh and no one is emotionally involved yet, but I am sure they will be, especially if enough money is thrown their way!
