Adrian Peterson Was Reportedly Arrested and Booked for Felony Domestic Violence at LAX

Former NFL running back Adrian Peterson was reportedly arrested and booked for felony domestic violence on Sunday morning at LAX.

He and his wife Ashley are said to have gotten into an argument before their flight to Houston took off.

Peterson's wife is said to have sustained a small mark during the argument and that's why he was taken into custody.  Here's what a rep for the Petersons had to say about the situation.

From TMZ Sports:

A rep for Adrian and Ashley tell TMZ ... "Earlier today Adrian and his wife Ashley had a verbal argument on a flight, and he was removed from the plane. This is a private misunderstanding between husband and wife and we anticipate it will all be resolved shortly."

Sources familiar with the case also tell us ... Adrian is due to be released from custody soon.

This is not Peterson's first arrest for domestic violence.  He was indicted by a grand jury back in 2014 for domestic violence incident involving his son.

It doesn't sound like Peterson will be watching the Super Bowl in Houston....
