Baker Mayfield Has Requested a Trade, Browns Don’t Plan to Honor His Request

Not surprisingly Baker Mayfield isn't a happy camper after the Browns attempted to trade for Deshaun Watson.  He's reportedly asked for a trade.  The Browns aren't planning to honor his request.

Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield has requested a trade out of Cleveland, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Thursday, per sources.

Mayfield's request comes after the Browns made a trade offer to the Houston Texans for Deshaun Watson and met with Watson earlier this week. Cleveland was informed earlier Thursday that it was no longer in the running to acquire the QB.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo added that the Browns do not plan to honor Mayfield's trade request.

Who could have seen this coming?

All the Browns did was look for another starting quarterback while already having a guy that's supposed to be the franchise guy.  You knew Cleveland was eventually going to screw things up with Mayfield, honestly it's a little surprising that it took this long.
