Former MLB player Ben Zobrist filed a lawsuit in May seeking $6 million in damages from his former pastor Byron Yawn, who is now the CEO of a Nashville consulting firm.  The lawsuit alleges that the former pastor had an affair with his wife Julianna Zobrist.

Yawn was counseling the two at the time of the alleged affair, which Zobrist says started in the spring of 2019 and lasted for a year.  Yawn's wife was the one who discovered the extra-marital relationship.

From Journal Star:

When the Journal Star contacted one of Ben Zobrist's attorneys, Larry Crain, regarding the Nashville lawsuit, he stated he was unable to comment on pending litigation.

Messages were left last week with Yawn and with Julianna Zobrist. A published telephone number for Yawn was disconnected.

Yawn provided the Zobrists pre- and post-marital counseling, the lawsuit states. He also counseled Ben Zobrist regarding anxiety and depression.

Beginning in August 2018, Yawn talked daily with Julianna Zobrist, the lawsuit states. It alleges their sexual relationship began in the spring of 2019 and lasted for about a year.

Yawn and Julianna Zobrist used prepaid mobile telephones to help conceal their relationship, the lawsuit states. Yawn's wife, Robin Yawn, reportedly discovered the phones in May 2019.

The pastor?  You can't trust the pastor?  Zobrist is a World Series MVP for god's sake.  Have some respect for the man and his marriage.  He's supposed to be enjoying his retirement right now, instead he's dealing with this bullshit.
