Browns Considering Trading for Jimmy Garoppolo

The Cleveland Browns could be looking for another quarterback.  With Deshaun Watson facing the possibility of a yearlong suspension, and Baker Mayfield unlikely to take the field for them, the Browns could suddenly find themselves in the market for a starting caliber quarterback.

The only other quarterback on the roster who has experience as a starter in the NFL is Jacoby Brissett.  The likelihood of a significant suspension for Watson has the Browns exploring their options.

One of the options could turn out to be trading for 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.  ESPN’s Jake Trotter, says Cleveland is considering the move for the veteran starter.

Why not?  The 2022 offseason has been extraordinarily wild.  Who thought the Browns would trade for then sign Watson to a massive deal?  Nobody saw that coming.  Who would have thought that they would then have to pickup another quarterback?

It makes perfect sense given everything else that has gone down.
