Cam Newton will officially become a free agent in March.  After one season in New England he confirmed that he has no intentions of retiring and is expecting to start in the NFL next season.

Newton did flash some "Cam of old" during the season, but ultimately came up well short of his former self.  It didn't hurt his confidence at all.

Cam boldly proclaimed that there aren't 32 quarterbacks better than him.

"Hell no!  I can’t go out like that.  I hear all of that talk.  My pride won’t allow me to do it,” he said.  "There aren’t 32 guys better than me."

The guys in the room didn't seem as convinced in what Newton was saying as he was.  Add this to the kid at his camp talking shit to him and he had a really rough weekend.

If Cam wants to play he'll probably find a team.  He might even start somewhere at some point, but I wouldn't expect him to land a starting job out the gate.
