Chris Davis and His Terrible Contract Had Season-Ending Hip Surgery

Orioles first baseman Chris Davis continues to prove that his 7 year, $161 million deal was one of the worst contracts of all-time.  On Wednesday it was reported that he underwent season-ending hip surgery.

Paying Davis $17 million to rehab from surgery still has to be a tough pill to swallow.  Not that he was contributing or was going to contribute at any point this season.

The best part of the entire thing might be the fact that in addition to paying him a shitload to suck year after year, the Orioles are going to be paying him in deferred payments until he's 51.

Shitty franchises do shitty things.  This contract is about as shitty as it can get.
