Christian McCaffrey is Out for the Season Again

Coming out of college the knock on Christian McCaffrey was that he was too small to be an every down back in the NFL.  The concern was that he would be injury prone at the next level.

McCaffrey proved the doubters wrong for the first three seasons of his NFL career.  He played in all 16 games each season.  That earned him a nice payday.

Since signing that four-year, $64 million deal with $30 million guaranteed, he's played in just 10 games and he won't be adding to that total this season.  Due to an ankle injury he sustained in the ass kicking at Miami, McCaffrey is done for the season.

From Panthers.com:

An ankle injury suffered in Sunday's loss at Miami will cost Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey the rest of the season.

An MRI Monday morning revealed an injury severe enough to place him on injured reserve. Because of the time it would take to recover, and because it will be his second time on injured reserve this season, the news means McCaffrey will miss out on the Panthers' final five regular season games after the bye week.

I'm not going to sink to the level that some might by suggesting Olivia Culpo is to blame.  But I will point out that he played in many more games when he wasn't dating her.

Whether IR CMC is distracted and not as focused as he once was on his first love or she's straight up stealing his athletic abilities to keep herself younger, it seems like something is going on.  Again I'm not blaming her.
