Damar Hamlin Incident Shakes Up the NFL!

Tex Hollywood - January 3, 2023

In what I'd assume is the craziest sports story in 2023, which may not be giving it enough justice in just how crazy it was of an incident, since it's only 2 and a half days into 2023, was what happened to Damar Hamlin on the field last night. It shook more than just the NFL world.

For those who don't know, Damar Hamlin basically had some form of cardiac arrest after getting up from a tackle. Trauma to the chest can apparently cause a form of a heart attack, but it's not very common to see during a game.

CPR was administered to the player for 9 minutes, which is apparently a LONG time to administer CPR, but luckily for Hamlin the NFL is prepared with specialists on the sidelines in the event these things happened, which definitely saved his life.

Players were rattled, emotional, crying and praying and hopefully the player makes it out of the woods.

Fans showed up to the medical facility where he was being treated for a prayer circle, because they care:

Fans have also stepped up in support of Hamlin by donating to his Toy Drive, which at the time of the incident had 2500 dollars raised, but as of a few minutes ago had raised 3.95 million dollars because we're inherently good people who come together during shocking and tragic events!

The Hamlin Family released this statement without any major updates.

This is apparently a clip of his family cheering him on, but not sure if it's when the incident happened just to make the whole thing even worse!
