Eugenie Bouchard was forced to retired during the first round match at the Transylvania Open this week after tweaking her hip during practice. The tennis star was up against Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina who won the first set 6-3 which lead to Eugenie calling a medical timeout.

"I pulled my hip flexor a few days in practice. I tried everything to be ready for this match, I got an MRI yesterday, and didn't show anything too bad, so I thought I could play. But it was getting worse as the match went on."
