For Some Reason the Phillie Phanatic Was Trying to Pump Up the Cardboard Cutouts at Citizens Bank Park

Despite not having any fans in the stands this season the Philadelphia Phillies still have the Phillie Phanatic at games.  On Sunday the mascot was spotted trying to pump up the cardboard cutouts behind the plate.

The crowd wasn't at all pumped up, because they're not real, but the pitcher seemed to be a little rattled.  The pitch wasn't anywhere close.

Who knew that mascots in empty stadiums were essential personnel?  I would have never guessed it, but apparently they are in Philadelphia.

I'm not going to complain too much, but if one of these assholes infects players and screws up the season I'll be pissed.
