The NBA regular season hasn't even started yet and Gordon Hayward is already hurt. The Hornets big free agent signing suffered an avulsion fracture of his pinky finger on his right hand.
What is an avulsion fracture? The short answer is the thing nightmares are made of. The long answer is where a fragment of bone is pulled away at the ligamentous or tendinous attachment.

It's just the latest in a growing list of injuries Hayward has had over the last few seasons. It's a good thing the Hornets dropped $120 million on him.
They might want to get him on some calcium supplements or something. Dude gets hurt like an 80-year-old in a nursing home.
