Jay-Z Wants to Buy a Piece of the Washington Football Team

Jay-Z is reportedly in the process of divesting assets in order to purchase an ownership stake in the Washington Football Team.  This according to the Burgundy Blog and later confirmed by NBC Sports Washington’s JP Finlay.

As pointed out by the Burgundy Blog these things take a longtime to come together and a lot of things can derail things.  But Jay-Z is working towards ownership in the franchise.

Nothing imminent. These things take months and sometimes break down. But I have it on good authority that Jay-Z is actively divesting assets to position himself for purchase of stake in #WFT.

Why would Jay-Z want to buy into the Washington Football Team?  Of all the teams this one has had a ton of problems over the last few years.

Maybe he heard about the organizations wild cheerleader photo shoots.  He has to know those are no longer going on.

The only other thing I can think is Jay-Z thinks there's a chance Daniel Snyder could be removed at some point and he could slide in.
