Dan Synder has apparently hired the Bank of America to sell the Commanders, who were once the Washington Football Team, in the event you needed a reference point because you still call them the Redskins, you racist who doesn't realize how problematic that is.

Snyder bought the team in 1999 for 800 million dollars, which was the most expensive sports team purchase in history. He has been involved in a handful of scandals beyond the Redskins name change for being problematic. From toxic workplace culture, to sexual harassments, he has been fined 10 million dollars, stepped down from day-to-day operations, had to testify before the House Committee. He may have unreported ticket sales to the IRS and more recently he apparently hired private investigators to investigate other team owners and has enough info to blow-up their spot, but Synder dismissed the accusations.

There are reports that Washington Post and Amazon owner Jeff Bezos is the frontrunner to purchase the team at the 5+ billion dollar price tag. Which makes sense, since Amazon is already working with the NFL and pushing sports content. Conflict of interest? Who cares about that!

Snyders released a statement tht read “The Snyders remain committed to the team, all of its employees and its countless fans to putting the best product on the field and continuing the work to set the gold standard for workplaces in the NFL."

All this to say, Jeff Bezos needs more stuff!
