Kayla Simmons, the college volleyball star, who may not have even been a college volleyball star.

She was listed as playing on the 2017 Marshall University women’s volleyball roster as a senior setter, height 5'9, with very limited information about her overall stats, meaning very limited game time.

She has managed to leverage that to become a well paid full-time smoke show.

She has officially rebranded the sport by stripping it down to its purest form: a Wilson volleyball and panties.

Forget bikinis. Forget spandex shorts. Kayla’s here to say, “What if the only uniform requirement was as little clothing as possible".

Beach volleyball uniforms have always been one accidental sneeze away from being full-frontal, but Kayla clearly decided the sport wasn’t skimpy enough. She took the ball, literally, and ran with it.

This Volleyball Open is a different kind of open.
