Most people would use a devastating Olympic injury as an excuse to spend the rest of their lives posting motivational quotes from a hot tub at Tiger Woods' house. Not Lindsey Vonn.

The legendary ski racer recently shared footage of herself back in the gym, grinding through another workout, reminding everyone that she possesses the kind of work ethic that is almost psychopathic.

For those keeping score at home, Vonn's body has absorbed more punishment than a rental car. Multiple knee surgeries, broken bones, torn ligaments, and enough rehab sessions to qualify for an honorary physical therapy degree. She is a masochist.

She is back under the weights and back doing the work maybe she is back chasing the feeling that made her one of the greatest alpine skiers to ever point a pair of skis down a mountain.

What makes Vonn fascinating isn't just the medals or the records. It's the refusal to stay down. Most athletes eventually reach a point where their body starts sending strongly worded legal notices demanding retirement.

Vonn responds by finding another gym.

At an age when many former Olympians are busy turning their achievements into speaking engagements and sponsored Instagram posts about collagen supplements and protein powders, Lindsey is still treating every setback like it's merely an inconvenience.
