In huge sports news, Lindsey Vonn wiped out in the first 15 seconds of her overhyped race and ended up being airlifted off the slopes where she had to get her broken leg tended to.
She's probably lucky to be alive, but it is just an example of why people should quit when they are ahead.
She decided to make a comeback to the sport as one of the oldest people to compete at that level in the sport.
She came into the Olympics as a top contender, but she injured herself weeks earlier but was still 1st in the World Cup series, and apparently stronger than ever.
However, the Olympic curse didn't let her hit the mark and make real history, but rather validated why people should retire before they are too old.
The other tragedy in the whole thing is that she did media, so much media, to hype up her return, to make it a monetizing opportunity for her sponsors, where she didn't quietly re-enter the races, she stood at the top of the mountain screaming her return, ready to prove something, which is that old people shouldn't be racing at that level.
Some are calling her a narcissist who can't let go, or an opportunist, while others are calling her a ski legend and hero who brought so much attention to the sport.
We're just happy she survived!
