Livvy Dunne may not have had a spot on the Pittsburgh Pirates' roster this season, but she certainly put in the hours.
As the 2026 MLB season comes to a close, Dunne has officially completed another demanding campaign as the girlfriend of Pirates ace Paul Skenes — a role that requires showing up, looking incredible, posting the highlights, experiencing every emotional roller coaster from the stands and, when necessary, defending your pitcher in the comments section.
And, frankly, she gave it her all.
Dunne recently shared a collection of photos looking back at Skenes' season, giving fans a glimpse at the year from the very important perspective of an MLB WAG. There were baseball games, All-Star festivities, glamorous appearances and plenty of Livvy-and-Paul moments along the way.
Of course, being an MLB WAG isn't all glamorous baseball dates and dressing up for All-Star Week.
There is actual emotional labor involved.
Dunne has admitted that watching Skenes pitch is harder for her than competing in gymnastics ever was. When she was competing at LSU, she controlled what happened on the floor. Now, she has to sit there and watch someone she loves throw 100-mph pitches while having absolutely no control over the outcome.
That's a tough job.
And she takes it seriously.
When Skenes finished his season with exactly 200 strikeouts, Dunne wasn't about to let some random internet commenter suggest he needed to "lock in."
Her response?
**"200ks btw."**
Case closed.
Skenes finished the 2026 season with a 3.82 ERA, 200 strikeouts and 32 starts. It wasn't the same dominant campaign as his 2025 Cy Young-winning season, but he still reached a milestone that hadn't been accomplished by a Pirates starting pitcher in decades.
And Livvy was there for the whole thing.
That's really become part of the Dunne-Skenes phenomenon. Both came out of LSU as enormous young sports stars — Dunne from gymnastics and Skenes from baseball — and now their relationship has become its own little sports-media universe.
Dunne has gone from LSU gymnast and social-media superstar to one of the most recognizable faces regularly appearing around an MLB ballclub.
She has mastered the essentials:
**Attend the games.**
**Wear the jersey.**
**Look spectacular.**
**Post the photo dump.**
**Support the pitcher.**
**Remain emotionally invested in every pitch.**
**And absolutely destroy anyone who thinks 200 strikeouts aren't enough.**
It's been quite a season.
And while Paul Skenes gets to go home and worry about mechanics, velocity and pitching, Livvy can finally take some well-earned time off from the exhausting responsibilities of being baseball's most recognizable WAG.
Until spring training, of course.
Because the WAG season never really ends.
