The MLB All-Star Game is supposed to be a celebration of baseball's biggest stars, but somehow Livvy Dunne keeps finding a way to steal a little bit of the spotlight.
Sure, she's making the trip as Paul Skenes' biggest fan, the supportive MLB WAG cheering on baseball's flamethrowing phenom. But let's not pretend she's just tagging along for the ride.
If anything, Paul Skenes is the one who landed the superstar.
Livvy has built one of the biggest personal brands in sports. She's one of the most-followed female athletes on the internet, turned her NCAA fame into a business empire, landed the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, became a certified Baywatch babe in that unforgettable red swimsuit shoot, and somehow still finds time to crank out brand deals that would make Fortune 500 marketing departments jealous.
She's the rare influencer who actually influences.
While plenty of WAGS are happy living the luxury suite life, Livvy is usually somewhere between a photo shoot, a campaign launch, a red carpet, a content trip, or filming another viral video. The girl hustles and is arguably a bigger thing that Skenes is.
So yes, she'll be walking around the All-Star festivities wearing the unofficial title of MLB WAG, but she's also bringing millions of followers, massive brand recognition, and enough social media reach to market the entire event herself.
Baseball has spent years trying to become more relevant to younger audiences. Having Livvy Dunne around certainly doesn't hurt.
It's also refreshing to see a power couple where both people are absolute stars in their own lanes. Paul Skenes is carving up hitters with triple-digit fastballs, while Livvy continues proving she's much more than a former gymnast. She's become a media personality, entrepreneur, model, and one of the biggest digital creators in sports.
The All-Star Game may belong to baseball's best players, but don't be surprised if plenty of cameras spend just as much time following Livvy around the stadium.
After all, being an MLB WAG might be part of her résumé...
But it's probably the smallest line on it.
