Livvy Dunne posted a travel vlog that captured the most important moment in her career, the behind the scenes of her Sports Illustrated Swim cover shoot.
We are not saying that legacy media like Sports Illustrated is what it once was in terms of influence. The social media world has changed that whole dynamic and the big brands have struggled to maintain the power they once had.
However, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition is a legacy brand that the girls who actually have more pull than the media itself, because it's a social media world, like the stamp of approval.
If Livvy Dunne launched her own "Swim Suit Edition" with all her friends, she'd probably get more views than the Sports Illustrated Edition, but it's not about the views, it's about the honor of being included in something the content creator didn't have to produce.
In being a content creator, she did have to do some self-production so she knows the experience happened, which is this 24 hour in Bermuda for the shoot video she put out.
It's unclear as to whether this was a requirement from the Sports Illustrated Swim cover honor, since SI is banking on the power of the people they can find who have the pull like Livvy to promote their brand and keep it alive another year. Every media hit and view that comes is key to selling next year's million dollar ad sponsors.
It's a hustle for everyone involved, but it looks like she's having a good time being a young college grad millionaire with a MLB boyfriend, finally from her college days that helped make her.
