Matthew Stafford’s Wife Kelly Says She Dated the Backup QB in College to Piss Him Off

Matthew Stafford's wife Kelly sat down for an interview with Barstool Sports' podcast "KFC Radio."  During the interview she talked about her relationship with the Rams quarterback.

Everyone familiar with the Staffords knows they met in college at Georgia.  He was the quarterback and she was a cheerleader.

What not many people knew about their relationship, and Kelly talked about during the interview, is the fact that Matthew didn't want to date her in college.

Another fact that Kelly revealed during the interview is the fact that she once dated the backup quarterback in college to piss him off.

The classic college love story.  The stud quarterback who wants to party without being tied down and the hot cheerleader who dates his backup to piss him off.

All that matters is that they battled through it, got married, started a family before escaping Detroit and finding themselves in Los Angeles playing in the Super Bowl.  Romance is alive and well!
