Michelle Beadle Says LeBron Tried to Get Her Fired From ESPN

Michelle Beadle agreed to a buyout from ESPN in 2019 and took a step away from the sports media world for a couple of years.  She's back now and has a podcast, "What Did I Miss?" for The Athletic.

Beadle had Paul Pierce on a recent episode when the topic of LeBron James trying to get her fired from ESPN.  He wasn't the reason for her buyout, but Beadle confirmed that he tried to get her fired.

Why would LeBron do that?  Because she dared to criticize "The Decision."

"He did try to.  I was like, 'I'm honored I'm even on your mind.  Thank you very much, sir.  That's a very weird place for me to be."

"My stuff with him started off not personal.  I made fun of "The Decision" like 400,000 other talking heads did at the time.  I think for some reason that was it. It wasn't personal to begin, but now it will always be personal.  It is what it is."

"I'm very comfortable with not liking people.  I think that's what makes us all healthy.  It's the people who pretend they like everyone, you can't trust them."

I think we can only come to one conclusion from this.  LeBron's as soft as we all think he is.  Especially if Michelle was the only one he tried to get fired.

I'm team Beadle on this one, mostly because unlike LeBron, I support women in sports.
