Hailee Steinfeld has officially discovered the hottest new technology of 1987: the telephone.

The Sinners star, Oscar nominee, actress, singer, wife of Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and arguably the most compelling A-Lister currently operating in the NFL WAG universe has apparently decided that maybe we have all had enough of our smartphones.

In a new photo set, Steinfeld is seen lounging in bed while talking on a traditional corded telephone which may be an object that Gen Z has apparently decided is retro, ironic and therefore extremely cool.

The image is basically the perfect collision of Hollywood glamour, NFL WAG culture and the increasingly popular desire to pretend that the internet never happened.

Steinfeld and Allen have become one of the NFL's ultimate crossover couples: she's a bona fide Hollywood star, he's the Buffalo Bills' franchise quarterback, and together they have somehow managed to make being extremely famous look relatively normal.

The couple married in 2025 and welcomed their daughter, Harper Haize Allen, in April 2026.

Now, she is clearly on the landline.

The glorious little piece of technology that existed solely to allow you to call somebody without simultaneously checking Instagram, answering an email, watching TikTok and receiving seventeen notifications from an app you forgot you downloaded.

No scrolling.

No doomscrolling.

No accidental FaceTime.

We don't know who she is talking to, but some of you may think it is some Josh Allen phone sex.

Time to bring back the landline, so that your mom can pick up the phone to call your granny, while you're having phone sex.
