Prior to last night's Coyotes and Kings game in Los Angeles, NHL linesman Ryan Gibbons was stretchered off the ice after a collision with Coyotes forward Liam O'Brien.

Gibbons appears to skate right into O'Brien before going down to the ice.  He was taken to a local hospital and diagnosed with a concussion.

Here's the collision and the official being stretchered off the ice.

You have to keep your head on a swivel at all times when you're on the ice, even before the opening faceoff.  If you don't, you might just take a shot to the head and have your brain scrambled.

Hopefully Gibbons is okay and makes a full recovery.
