That's not to say that TikTok dancing isn't legitimate in the eyes of the marketing companies paying these people tons of money to reach their fans, it's just to say that to someone who isn't in that scene, the TikTok dance is pretty flimsy content that lacks a whole lot of talent or creativity.

When you make it about being the personal account of someone with a legitimate skill, like Gymnastics at the college level, it takes the TikTok dances as a support to the actual skill, rather than the focal point or "skill" that requires little skill.

Brand partnerships suddenly become athlete sponsorships, supporting the college athlete, rather than paying some TikToker fool to do a dance in the mall!

There's a difference, a subtle difference, but still a difference and it doesn't take away from the fact. that people love her and think she's the hottest, even going to great lengths of stalking her at her Gymanstic Meets. It's wild.
