One Team Hasn’t Closed the Door on Baker Mayfield Yet

The Cleveland Browns continue to hold on to Baker Mayfield despite clearly deciding to move on from him.  His trade market has almost all but dried up.  One team, a team that has already tried to land Mayfield via a trade hasn't closed the door on him yet.

The Carolina Panthers haven't shut the door on trade talks for Mayfield.  This is according to Josina Anderson, who also points out that the team is in no rush to make a trade and are prepared to move forward without doing so.

My understanding is the door isn't 100% shut on the #Panthers and talks regarding Baker Mayfield, but I certainly received the impression that Carolina isn't in any rush, nor are they pressed, per league source. They will roll as is, if need be, per league source. @BovadaOfficial

There's no doubt in my mind that Baker Mayfield is better than any quarterback on the Panthers roster right now.  I also understand why the Panthers don't want to pickup the tab for Baker in a trade, but they need a quarterback a lot more than the Browns do at this moment.
