Oregon Fans Commit an Anti-Mormon Hate Crime?

Tex Hollywood - September 20, 2022

The University of Oregon has issued an apology after a group of students were chanting "F*** the Mormons" during a game against BYU on Saturday.

The school has released a statement that the chants were "offensive" and "disgraceful", which I am sure we can all agree with.

We may live in a godless society filled with athiests and non-believers, where it's cool or trendy to denounce Christians as being crazy for believing in a book written 2000 years ago, versus a scientific event 4 billion years ago, but to reduce the game to that, is pretty weak!

The craziest thing in all of this is that the chants happened when the Oregon team got a touchdown, and Oregon ended up winning the game, so a little unnecessary. Maybe a "Kick em" when they are down moment.

We'll hope that like generations of people slamming doors in their faces, this will just bring them closer to their faith as a reminder that the devil is hard at work!
