GOLF
Tex Hollywood - October 2, 2026
Paige Spiranac has apparently decided that golf is optional.
The former professional golfer and internet sensation is out here dressed as a very naughty Batman, and somehow the only thing missing from the latest content is a golf club.
Not that anyone seems particularly upset about it.
Spiranac has spent years proving that she can turn golf into social-media content, but at this point she may have discovered the ultimate evolution of the business model:
Forget the golf. Keep Paige.
The latest Batman look is less The Dark Knight and more The Dark Knight Who Definitely Doesn't Need A Cape, with Spiranac leaning heavily into the superhero costume and the physical attributes that have made her one of the most recognizable personalities to emerge from golf.
And let's be honest — when Paige Spiranac posts a Batman costume, nobody is clicking because they're hoping for swing tips.
There isn't going to be a detailed breakdown of her backswing.
Nobody is asking whether Batman uses a stiff or regular shaft.
Nobody is wondering what ball she plays.
The golf is officially irrelevant.
Paige has become the content
That's really the fascinating thing about Spiranac's career.
She initially became famous because she was a golfer who understood social media better than most golfers.
Eventually, however, the equation flipped.
She became a social-media celebrity who happened to have a golf background.
That's a pretty significant distinction.
Golf was the original hook.
Paige became the product.
Now she can dress up as Batman, post a few photos, and generate exactly the kind of attention that used to require an actual sporting event.
And judging from the internet's reaction, the Bat-Signal isn't exactly the thing people are staring at.
Let's just say Gotham has some serious mounds to deal with.
The Paige Spiranac business model
There is actually something clever about it.
Paige doesn't need to convince everyone that they're interested in golf anymore.
She has built an audience interested in Paige.
Golf can be there when it's useful.
Golf instruction can be there when she wants credibility.
Golf events can be there when there's money attached.
But when Halloween rolls around?
Batman.
When swimsuit season arrives?
Swimsuit.
When social media wants another thirst trap?
Paige is apparently happy to provide one.
That's not really a golf-media strategy anymore.
It's a celebrity-media strategy.
And Batman Paige is perhaps the perfect example.
The costume gives the audience a familiar pop-culture hook.
The lack of actual golf makes the point even more obvious.
This isn't about golf.
It's about Paige Spiranac being Paige Spiranac.
And considering how long she's been doing this, she probably doesn't need anybody to explain the business model to her.
The rest of us are just watching the batsignal.
And the mounds.
