The Seahawks gave Russell Wilson what he wanted and traded him to the Broncos.  In return Seattle was sent quarterback Drew Lock as part of the deal.

It appears as if Lock will be the Seahawks starter next season.  Asked if they could win a championship with Lock, head coach Pete Carroll says he thinks they have a "shot."

From The Seattle Times:

“If he plays like he did early on, I think we’ve got a shot,’’ Carroll said. “You go back to his first year when he was balling as a rookie, when he was 4-1, his third-down numbers were terrific. Taking care of the football really well. … We think he’s still that guy and so we’ll see.’’

Carroll has to say that.  They didn't have a shot with Russell Wilson and they sure as hell don't have a shot with Drew Lock.  Seattle is in rebuild mode.
