SJ - January 12, 2022

The Rams have reportedly signed retired safety Eric Weddle.  The 37-year-old last played two seasons ago, his one and only season with the Rams.

Prior to that he spent three years with the Ravens and nine with the Chargers.

The move comes after an injury to safety Jordan Fuller and just days before the Rams play their first playoff game on Monday night against the Cardinals.

Waddle was a maniac prior to his retirement so he's likely in great shape and ready to go.  The game is probably going to come down to how many mistakes Matthew Stafford makes.

Weddle's familiar with the Rams defense and should be able to keep a spot warm on the field without being asked to do too much.
