He threatened to sit out the entire season, forced the Packers to make concessions, including making it possible for him to walk after the season and made them trade for his pal Randall Cobb.

A welcome-back gift for Aaron Rodgers: the Texans are trading former Packers’ WR Randall Cobb back to Green Bay, per Randall Cobb. Cobb has been a longtime favorite of Rodgers.

All this to lose another NFC Championship game? One Last Dance of beating up on terrible NFC North teams then getting their asses handed to them by a real team.

It seems like it would have been easier to trade him or called his bluff and see if he would actually retire.
