Saints Expect Michael Thomas Back “Sooner Rather Than Later”

The relationship between the Saints and Michael Thomas might not be as broken as it has been reported. According to NFL insider Jason La Canfora, head coach Sean Payton expects Thomas will be back "sooner rather than later."

It also sounds like Payton expects big things from Thomas in 2021.

Sean Payton told me on Friday that he expected Michael Thomas will be back "sooner rather than later" and expressed strong confidence in him for 2021 season. Obviously he is still recovering from surgery now but sounds like they can salvage this relationship

It's much more fun when the star player and the team he's signed to have problems. It sounds like the two sides have smoothed things over for now.

Let them lose a few games with whoever they decide to start at quarterback and let's see if we don't get the popcorn back out.
