Confidence is a good thing. Being delusional isn't. Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool is leaning very hard towards being delusional. During an appearance on the "I Am Athlete" show he said he was a Top 3 wide receiver in the NFL.
"I know for a fact I am not like the rest of the guys in the NFL. I know I'm a Top 5 wide receiver. I know I'm a Top 3 wide receiver."
Chase Claypool speaks his mind on the @IAMATHLETEpod
“I know I’m a Top 5 WR … I know I’m a Top 3 WR.” 👀

This is coming from a guy who caught 59 passes for 860 yards and two touchdowns. Claypool is far from a Top 5 or Top 3 wide receivers in the league. He's not even the best receiver on his own team yet. Twitter made sure to point that out.
Bro not even top 3 on the Steelers

Claypool has 1700 yards and 11 tds in his 2 seasons. For comparison sake:
Tee Higgins 2000 & 12
Justin Jefferson 3000 & 17
Ceedee Lamb 2000 & 11…
he’s not even a top 3 WR in his draft class 😂😂

I can name 40+ receivers I’d take over Chase Claypool https://t.co/upYmLlau88

Again, confidence it a good thing, but this has crossed over into delusion. Good luck being a Top 3 wide receiver with Mitchell Trubisky. Not taking anything away from Mitch, but I doubt he's the guy to help a guy reach Top 3 status.
