The Detroit Lions announced on Saturday that head coach Matt Patricia and general manager Bob Quinn have been relieved of their duties.  In other words their asses have been fired.

The move comes just two days after an embarrassing loss on Thanksgiving to the Houston Texans.  Happy Holidays!

Defensive "genius" Matt Patricia went 13-19-1 during his two plus seasons as the Lions head coach.  They never made it to the playoffs and he wasted three seasons of Matthew Stafford's career.

Hey, but he was a defensive coordinator under Bill Belichick and he wears a pencil on his ear or sticking out of his hat.  It turns out the pencil and disheveled look doesn't translate to wins as a head coach.
