The Chargers and Raiders ended the regular season on Sunday Night Football and it almost ended in a tie that would have sent both teams to the playoffs.

A timeout late in overtime by the Chargers changed the Raiders mindset.  They then picked up a first down and then kicked a game winning field goal that sent the Chargers home.

Raiders quarterback Derek Carr seemed to confirm after the game that the Raiders were going to run out the clock and settle for the tie before the timeout.

Is this now the worst timeout in the history of sports?  It has to be up there.
