The Panthers Have Fired OC Joe Brady on His Day Off

Damn...

Not that there are any real days off during the NFL season, but it is the Panthers bye week.

According to multiple reports Carolina fired Brady on Sunday.  Senior offensive assistant Jeff Nixon will take over for the remainder of the season.

The firing of Brady isn't all that surprising.  The Panthers are 5-7 on the season and coming off one of their poorest offensive efforts all year.

Sure Brady was supposed to be the next boy wonder, but it turns out his success might have had more to do with the roster he had at LSU, not necessarily his "genius."
