WWE Board is Investigating a $3 Million Settlement Allegedly Paid by CEO Vince McMahon to a Woman He Was Having an Affair With

The WWE's Board is investigating allegations that CEO Vince McMahon, who is married, paid a $3 million settlement to a woman he had an affair with.  The woman worked as a paralegal for the company and according to The Wall Street Journal report that broke the story her salary was doubled to $200,000 after she and McMahon started their relationship.

The article also details how the WWE Board received anonymous emails with details about the $3 million payment.  McMahon is said to have paid the settlement, which prevents the woman from discussing her relationship with him and from making critical statements about him.  A spokesperson for the WWE told The Wall Street Journal that the relationship was consensual.

It's anyone's guess as to how this one will shake out.  On the one hand, hush money settlements never look good.  On the other hand, the WWE is raking in a ton of cash with McMahon at the helm.
