Yaqub Talib, brother of NFL’s Aqib Talib named suspect in shooting death!

Aqib Talib, who played for five NFL teams from 2008-2019, and now is a NFL broadcaster for Amazon and his brother Yaqub were rumored to being involved in a fatal shooting at a youth football game.

On Sunday, the Lancaster Police Department named Yaqub Talib as a suspect.

The release read:

“On August 13, 2022 at approximately 8:50 p.m., Lancaster Police were dispatched to multiple calls for service at 1749 Jefferson St. Lancaster TX commonly known as Lancaster Community Park. The Lancaster Community Park is a community activity park that encompasses several youth league football fields.”

“Upon arrival, officers were notified of a disagreement among coaching staff and the officiating crew. During the disagreement the opposing coaching staff were involved in a physical altercation and one of the individuals involved in the altercation discharged a firearm striking one adult male. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment where he was later pronounced deceased.”

“Officers have identified the suspect involved in this offense as a black male, Yaqub Salik Talib and there is an active warrant for his arrest.”

Apparently, a fight started between the coaching staff, Talib pulled out a gun and open fired, and one person was hit and pronounced dead.

You have to wonder what gets into the heads of people who do this kind of thing over such an insignificant argument, like youth football, but more importantly, the family is rich, connected, dialled in, what a way to ruin those opportunities that have come your way, while ending the life of some dude just out at the Youth Football league on a Saturday..
