Zion Williamson Signs Max Extension With the Pelicans on His Birthday

Zion Williamson signed a max contract extension with the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday.  The deal is worth more than $192 million.

Wednesday was also Zion's 22nd birthday.  Not a bad birthday present for a guy who missed the entire 2021-22 season with a broken foot.

What a joke.  The Pelicans are trying to will this into not being a huge waste of money.

There have only been a couple of things Zion has proven in the NBA, he has a hard time controlling his weight and he gets injured all the time.

I predict he'll be making a decent paycheck watching a lot of basketball over the course of the next few years.
