Blazers star Damian Lillard might be the best athlete rapper to ever do it.  On Friday he proved that by dropping his latest Dame D.O.L.L.A. track "Kobe" featuring Snoop Dogg and Derrick Milano.

It's three minutes of a complete tribute to the Lakers superstar and his daughter GiGi, who tragically died in a helicopter crash back in January.

Lillard was first and foremost a fan of one of the best basketball players to ever live.  That comes through loud and clear in the track.  As does Snoop's love for the "Black Mamba."

It's still crazy to think that Kobe's death was earlier this year.  It's only September, but so much has happened since Kobe passed away.  If we only knew back then what was about to happen.

2020 was bad when Kobe died.  It's only gotten worse from there.
