Former NBA Player to Represent USA in Beach Volleyball in Paris!

Ex-NBA Player Chase Budinger is representing the USA in Paris for Beach Volleyball.

This is a story that reminds me of a group of guys who went viral a few Olympics ago, where a group of bros decided that they weren't very athletic but figured they could qualify in one of the more obscure sports, so they joined the speed walkers and actually qualified for the Olympics.

Only in this case, the NBA player started out as an elite athlete who transitioned to another sport which he clearly excelled in because Budinger and teammate Miles Evans just got naked to the team.

Budinger was drafted by Detroit after three years in the NCAA with the Arizona Wildcats back in 2009.

In 2018, he said that he was thinking of an early retirement to pursue Volleyball because he was fortunate to have found success in another sport at a high level at the time, plus hanging on the beach all day with all those bikini babes isn't so bad, even when he's the whitest of white dude. Plus after 7 years of work as an NBA athlete which PAYS, he probably doesn't really need the money.
