Former Steeler Calling for Ben Roethlisberger to Be Benched

Ben Roethlisberger has had one hell of a career.  He has two Super Bowl rings, six Pro Bowl selections, a motorcycle accident and rape accusations.

At 39 his best days are clearly behind him.  In addition to all of the career accomplishments, he's taken an absolute beating.

Over the past couple of seasons that beating has started to take a toll on him, so much so people are starting to call for the Steelers to bench him.

Former Steeler Ryan Clark is one of the louder voices.  He called for Roethlisberger's benching on "Get Up."

"I owe my Super Bowl ring to Ben Roethlisberger.  With all that being said, time is up.  It’s time to move on.  It’s time to see what else you have in that locker room.  Big Ben is hurting this team now.  It’s time for Big Ben to take a seat."

If I'm Big Ben I'm placing a phone call.  Depending on how that phone call starts off it may end with me demanding his Super Bowl ring.  Show some respect for the Steelers legend.
