Matthew Stafford is set to enter the last year of his current contract and is set to get paid $23 million with his base salary, roster and workout bonuses.  That would be dwarfed by the numbers he could be getting with a new contract from the Rams.

On the low end the Super Bowl winning quarterback is expected to land a $35 million per year deal.  The deal could reportedly go as high as $45 million a year.  Quite the raise...

Stafford couldn't have won a ring at a better time.  The Rams want to run it back and stay relevant for the next few years.  Locking Stafford down seems to be a priority for them to accomplish that.
