American tennis player Reilly Opelka's Melbourne Summer Set match with Maxime Cressy was delayed on Thursday night after a bird shit on Reilly's hat. The delay involved Reilly looking for an approved hat to continue the match.

He really didn't want to simply wipe the hat off and continue playing. He needed a new hat. Once he received a new hat the match continued.

Getting shit on by a bird is supposed to be good luck, it was not for Reilly, he lost the match. If I to guess why the bird shit didn't bring him any luck I would guess that it had something to do with the way he reacted to the situation.

Take bird shit in stride and you get all the luck you can handle.
