Olympic Fencer Monica Aksamit Calls Out US Over Medal Pay

Olympic fencer Monica Aksamit received a ton of attention for a video she posted on TikTok. The video, which racked up over 20 million views, compared what different countries paid their Olympians for winning medals.

Monica decided to share the video on Instagram after it racked up so many views on TikTok. When you see how low the US pays in comparison to other countries it's easy to see why the video is so popular.

That has to be a little disheartening if you're an athlete competing for the US. You live in one of the richest countries on the planet and aren't anywhere close when it comes to pay for medal winning Olympians.
