Phillies Pitcher Jose Alvarez Finishes Play After Taking a Line Drive to the Dick

What's the worst thing that can happen on a baseball field? Taking a line drive to the dick has to be high on the list.

That's exactly what happened to Phillies relief pitcher Jose Alvarez on Thursday afternoon. He took a 105 MPH line drive right in the dick off the bat of Blue Jays leftfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr.

Amazingly Alvarez was able to finish the play and throw him out. After getting the out he naturally dropped to the ground holding his junk. He was then carted off the field.

Thoughts and prayers to Alvarez's junk. Hopefully he was able to avoid any really serious injuries, because a baseball moving at 105 MPH can do some real damage.
