The NFL's National Anthem protest discussion is back and we have Drew Brees to thank for that.

Saints quarterback Drew Brees stepped in it on Wednesday when he said he would never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag.  He, of course, talking about NFL players taking a knee during the National Anthem.

Brees' comments come as protests following the death of George Floyd at the hands of a police officer have gone worldwide.

Athletes, fans and protesters weren't at all happy with his comments.  Athletes spoke out against Brees' comments, fans burned his jerseys and protesters in New Orleans chanted "fuck Drew Brees."

Brees has since apologized for his comments, but somehow I don't think his apology is going to have the affect he thinks it's going to.  In fact, the Future Hall of Famer, might be booed this season at home games.

Way to ruin one of your last, if not your last, season in the NFL.
