Tex Hollywood - October 4, 2023

In "Tampa Bay Doesn't Deserve a Baseball Team, Give them to the Expos" news, the Rays played the Rangers to start the postseason yesterday, but the crowd was too busy on the boat, fishing, tanning, relaxing to care.

The Tampa team has had some of the lowest turn out of fans for many years, the dome they call home is outdated and going to be vacated in the next few years, but that may not be the reason no one cares.

You would think that a post season game would sell out, but the Rays only got 19,700 people into the bleachers. No word how many were there to see Texas.

This is the lowest attended postseason game since the 1919 World Series in Cincinnati, excluding Covid games.

The crazy thing is that Tampa is a sports oriented city and the team actually does well, they've made it to the postseason the last 5 years and even won AL East in 2020 and 2021!

They are playing Texas again today and tickets are selling for a whopping $22!
